Angry The Biggest B.S. Thread Ever

Human nature is a sodding travesty. People lie through their teeth to feel bigger, better and avoid trouble for themselves at all costs.
Lying is also now a part of everyday life.. it happens all the time on T.V through adverts etc.

So I say list here: The lies you've heard, the scams you've been had by and the rides you've been taken on.

Lets see what whoppers we can surface.

---

As for myself? Hmm, the main one I can think of is quite personal so I am not gonna spalsh it about here like lemonade.. I'll give a quick low down:

I was with someone for 3 years (me aged 15.5 to 18.5) and in that time I was lied to.. a lot. (Nothing new, people always lie in relationships).
Anyway, I was lied to about something so.. so important. Life changing event. Basically, the lie was "Yes please".. the truth was "No thanks" and I was left in a heap of shit that scarred me emotionally and physically.
I feel no anger towards this person now.. cos they're scum and I'm not. But I'll alwats remember it being the worst f*cking lie I ever had to endure.

The fourth and last, he realizes, is the final fascination, detached and morbid, as eyes being pushed into their sockets meet the earth that is rising so indiscriminately, bringing with it bruising clarity and the promise of eternity.

The third are a myriad of feelings: panic, and denial, and the freezing sensation of wind whipping past the now goose-fleshed skin. Mostly just panic that overrides endorphins. After all, whoever’s heard of a happy faller?

The second, a sight, is the kaleidoscope, because it can only be described as a kaleidoscope as gravity so lovingly (and speedily) whisks you to the ground, of the colors that surround, splotches of green and blue and brown, not-so-blurred, because there is no “selective vision” in free fall. Only a spike in senses, as the body explodes with adrenaline, and adrenaline-induced elation.

The first is the disorienting feeling of vertigo as blood suddenly seeps down from head to the rest of the body, and little pinpricks of black invade the vision –a violent and incredible head rush, that most don’t experience in their lifetimes.

He imagines that he’s felt something similar before, but not in life.

Only the ground never hits, it’s been ethereal this entire time, instead, he continues to fall. The demons greet him with grinning teeth, and flashing eyes. Morello is home.

Morello’s idea of humor isn’t quite the same as others’, but he is amused at the moment. After all, who would knowingly invoke their deity with such vague directions? Somewhere in between the inscrutable rituals and sacrifices, Morello had realized that Grenth fully intended to make him go down to the underworld, instead of coming up himself. Selfish, really.

The underworld is…

- - - - - - - - -

They do not prevent everyone from going through the gate, but no one may do so cheaply.
Gozu and Mezu are the stone altars on which many overly brave or curious things have been sacrificed…
Marbled over their shadowed almost-flesh they bear the long-dried blood of those who ask a boon without understanding the price.

Only the dead may pass.

They protect the gate loyally, lest the living defile that ground.
When the necromancer comes, they know there is not an altar worthy of his blood.
They bow to him, for he is Morello, first cousin of the Reaper of Frost, Steward of Hell.

I think the above is a load of bull that I've conjured to waste your lives. It still sounds nice, rolling off the tongue, and I want excuses to post it anywhere apart from Lyssa's theater, where people rarely look.

Talking Niiiiice!!!

Damn, that little passage was great

Loved the... well, as you said, "rolls off the tongue" action.

Keep the crap coming!

I don't think you'd like my other angsty stories. By default, I only pursue obscure fanfiction that I haven't even SEEN, but read about on the net.

Oh: I got pissed when I was younger, and we were doing secret santa in daycare. I think gave this kid a 5 dollar pop gun and he gave me 2 packs of gum. If that's not an inequity, I don't know what is.

Most things that people type that disguise their point with large words usually come off as BS to me.

How about a 'scam' I pulled on someone else? *evil grin*

Background: Friend And I were in CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) class in tech school (around '92). Since the school didn't allow anything saved to the hard drive, we all had boxes of 3.5" disks to use to save everything. All of the desks (and computers) faced one end of the room. My friend (let's call him Gregg, since that is his real name *grin*), was sitting in front of me. For those interested, we were learning AutoCAD R10. One of the settings in the program allowed you to set the time between 'autosaves'. Most people had theirs set to about 15 minutes, since there were frequent power flickers during thunderstorms.
One day, Gregg was complaining about how slow the files were saving to the disk. While his back was still me, he looked up and asked if there was anyway to speed up the 'saving'. Since I only had to keep my voice straight (and not my face *grin*), I proceeded to tell him about this wonderful product that could in fact 'speed' up the disk. I t was called 'Disk Grease', came in an aresol can, and was sprayed into the opening under the metal cover on the 3.5" disk. I remember that he had 3 G's in his name (for gullible, obviuosly), so of course he believed every word. After about 15 minutes of me describing this product, telling him how much it cost and a few places that he could purchase 'Disk Grease'....he asked me to get some for him. He gave me $10 and asked that I bring back the change.

*evil grin*

The next day I presented him with an empty Mt. Dew can with a fictional label taped around it, along with $9.50 (hey, I had to get the can from SOMEwhere!) Needless to say, the rest of the class ragged him about it for the rest of the year

Ah, the first big fish you catch is always remembered fondly.

*does the Happy Dance*

I eat chicken flavored cubes, and I believe I'm a Pie. If that's not BS, beats me what is.

That really sucks. I understand what it feels like to be lied to in a relationship. I dated this girl for over 2 years (she was my first real girlfriend) and we came to a point where we had gone to the same college and she said she wanted to take a break from dating. So I said ok, but she led me on like we would get back together. So the second week of college, she started dating someone else. Take a break from dating my arse! Take a break from me is what she meant. It hurt a lot, but I'm glad it happened. I actually changed a lot a grew from the experience. I was a lot more confident and dated off and on. (This is the good part) Every year for 3 years she asked for me back. And every year for 3 years the answer was the same. "Hell no."

Forgiveness heals, and I have forgiven her for what she did. You're still young and have plenty of time. Take a chance to learn and heal from this experience. I'm sure you'll be better for it. I hope you find someone that doesn't lie to you. A real man takes responsibility and faces a situation; he doesn't lie.
